The government has placed pension funds and institutional investors at the heart of its economic growth policy, calling for greater domestic investment into “productive finance”. To facilitate this, it has rebranded and expanded the UK Infrastructure Bank as the National Wealth Fund to drive investment in to local and regional infrastructure.
Policymakers also want pension funds to put more money into start-ups and other private markets assets based in the UK. The British Business Bank has also been given an expanded remit and established the British Growth Partnership to work with pension funds and asset managers to direct more capital to UK unlisted companies.
The UK Investment Summit is your opportunity to hear from senior leaders at both institutions as well as fellow investors and pension fund decision makers to understand the investment case and how to access it. It’s also an opportunity to put your questions about UK investment to the experts.
