John joined MJ HudsonAllenbridge Investment Advisers as a Senior Adviser in 2012 to work with UK public sector pension funds on procurement, governance and investment strategy. He has worked in senior management posts in local government finance in London for over 30 years and has held the post of Director of Finance at two London Boroughs and recently a Director level post in the Mayor’s Office in London. Since 2005 John has worked independently, carrying out several senior level interim management appointments at Director/Assistant Director level covering a wide range of financial management issues including advising elected Councillors on budget and investment strategy, and managing the finance function. He has also acted as Local Government adviser to a leading City based global investment house.

Currently John is the Independent Pension Board Chair for the Dyfed and Tower Hamlets Council Pension Funds, and an Honorary Treasurer with a Childrens’ Charity in London and a member of the Investment Committee. He is also Chair of the Coram Audit Committee. John has over 20 years’ experience of managing and advising Local Authority Pension Funds, including reviewing and developing investment strategies. He is a regular contributor at conferences with regard to pension fund investment issues.
