Yo is the EMEA Head of Investment Stewardship at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. Yo joined the firm in February 2021 and is responsible for engaging with corporate directors and management on investment issues involving stewardship, management incentives, and social and environmental sustainability. Previously, he was the Head of ESG Research and Active Ownership at AXA Investment Managers and was also at BMO Global Asset Management for seven years where he headed up engagement. Yo serves as co-chair of the Climate Transition Finance Working Group of the ICMA Green Bond Principles where he co-authored the Climate Transition Finance Handbook.
Yo spent decade as a business journalist in broadcast at the BBC, Bloomberg and CNBC. He has a MBA from City, University of London’s Business School and a Batchelor’s degree from the University of Cambridge. He speaks English and Japanese.
